The SCADA HMI Client application for Apple® iPad® and iPhone® provides remote visualization and interaction capabilities with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems. Designed for integration with remote desktop applications, it enables users to monitor and control plant operations directly from their mobile devices.

Security is a fundamental aspect of the SCADA HMI Client. The connection process includes validation at the project level, requiring not only the server address and project name but also user credentials—specifically, a username and password—that must correspond to the authorization scope defined within the project. This approach helps ensure secure access to sensitive infrastructure.

The client communicates with host servers running compatible SCADA or HMI Web Server applications that adhere to Tatsoft's communication specifications. This compatibility facilitates real-time data exchange and graphical interface rendering, enabling efficient remote management.

Technical considerations include:

• The default polling interval for server data retrieval is set at 250 milliseconds. This setting can be adjusted within the polling configuration, where values are specified in quarter-second increments. In environments with slower networks or over internet connections, it may be necessary to increase this interval to maintain stability. A practical method for determining an appropriate polling rate is to compare it with the typical ping time to the server; generally, the polling interval should be two to five times longer than the ping time.

It is important to note that each iPad or iPhone connected to the SCADA HMI Web Server consumes one client license. The maximum number of concurrent connections depends on both the server's hardware capacity and license configuration.
